Grinder
A grinder (meat grinder or spice grinder) is a tool – manual or electric – for grinding meat, spices, coffee, or grains into fine or coarse textures. Meat grinders allow custom blends for burgers or sausages; spice grinders release fresh flavors.
You don't need to have a separate spice grinder – a coffee grinder works great. We have this one that has a separate cup – we keep one for spices and one for coffee beans.
Chill meat and grinder parts before grinding to maintain fat integrity.
Cut meat into 1-inch cubes for consistent feeding and texture.
Clean grinder thoroughly after each use to prevent bacterial buildup.
Use coarse settings first, then re-grind for finer texture if needed.
For spices, pulse short bursts in a dedicated spice grinder to avoid flavor cross-contamination.
